Welcome to Glenbrae riding club in central Scotland
Glenbrae Riding club was established in 1976 and operates in and around Scotland's Central belt area, and is affiliated to the British Horse Society in the British Riding Club's Area 1.
We are an active club with approximately 120 members and our objective is to encourage riding as a sport and recreation, to promote good fellowship amongst riders and to improve the standard of riding and horsemanship.
We have a busy summer planned this year with lots of different types of events on, hopefully with something to please all of our members. We are running our monthly members Combined Training nights (detailed below), and our regular lessons and team training sessions. The club is also planning a social night to raise funds in the form of a Race Night on Friday 2nd October at Stirling Cricket Club. More details will be emailed, posted on Facebook and updated here on the web.
Glenbrae All Stars (Intermediate Showjumping Team)
Our intermediate showjumping team (Leanne McBain, Julie Scott, Gemma Pryke and Aileen Jeffrey ) successfully raised half of the cost of going down to the National Championships in Lincoln, with their Car Boot Sale held at Langlands Livery Stables, Cake and Candy and Raffle, to be matched by the club from funds. Many thanks to everyone who supported them in their efforts. Gillian and Grant Turnbull, all sponsors and the companies and individuals who have contributed many wonderful prizes for the raffle, car boot sellers and buyers and raffle ticket buyers. The team will now be training like mad to prepare for the challenges ahead. The club is behind them all the way and is extremely proud of their efforts.
(Many thanks to Sinclair Photography for these photographs).

Summer camp 2015
Great Time Had by All!
Despite the weather summer camp (weekend of 17th -19th July) was a blast! Our happy gang of 22 campers with 17 gorgeous steeds camped very comfortably under the big barns in the beautiful Auchinleck Estate. We were really well looked after by our hosts the Boswells (Rory cooks up a mean burger btw!). Thanks to the family for making us so welcome, the staff at the Boswell's Coach House Restaurant for feeding (and supplying gallons of hot chocolate and coffee!). Lessons began sharp on Saturday morning and the riders were ably instructed in flat work, show jumping, TREC and XC by Rory Boswell, Caroline Patterson and Jill Sherry. The lessons were fun, instructive and everyone gained lots from the experience. Already starting to think about the next year...hope some new campers think about joining us then!
